Crown WAVE60-118:
How to test pot in handle??

Hi! I'm wondering, how can I test the pot in the handle to know if it need replacement? I have a problem with a wave and from what I heard it can be the pot in the handle that need to be replaced. Here is the problem just FYI :

Almost every times we stop moving with the wave (like to get a box on the shelf or something like that) when we put our hands back on the handles to continue moving the wave won't move and beep with the "grab control" and "control center" error. We have to mess so much with the handles and now its good.

Also, sometimes I'm not on the wave but its still powered on and suddenly it start to beep like crazy and shows "grab control" but no one is on the wave!! lol!

Also, we have a travel alarm on the wave and sometimes when I stop moving the travel alarm still sound for like 5 second like the wave would still be in forward modes. Seems that the wave didnt detect me removing my hands from the handle and still think the handle is in forward position...

So.. its a pot in the handle problem? What/how to check ?

Thanks!

Have you tried to recalibrate the pot by going into the service menu and calibrating C2? I'd start there. It sounds like the pot is working but fell out of calibration.
Otherwise you can check analyzer 4.24 and 4.25 to ensure the voltage moves smoothly when moving the traction command handle. If it is jumping atound or not moving when twisting slowly then it is much easier to replace the fully handle assembly.
