with the lift powered on you can put something metallic (magnetic) in front of the face of the sensor and there is an led light on the top that should light up when it closes. Thats the easiest way to test one.
I'll have to look through the service book and see if there is info on how to test it another way.
What are the specs for checking the sensors? Also there were no lights on ,on the sensors
Appreciated will check on the items listed
according to the service book Alarm 33 Mod 6 describes it as:
The safety contact did not operate when the slave controlled it. It was stuck in the open position.
Mod 6 is the EPS (steering) control system
check the sensors on the steering gear, there should be 3 of them and they can be checked with a vom, they have orange indicator lights on them but still disconnect them and check with the meter. Make sure they are adjusted correctly.
