swingreach sb 2008

hi everybody. i new on this forum im from chile and i work whit a swingreach SB model.

my problem is whit the code 53, on the service manual say's check the wire between the steer control manager and the tractor manager and the probe that you made show's you the voltage of the power supply of the steer manager.......but i know when this code appears can be the resistor, condenser, the transistor kit of the Q1 circuit......i'been check the semiconductors under the SCM and the PWM.....and the resistence on the traction motor. if anyone have other idea pleas tell me.....thanks to everyone

Code 53 is no communication from steer manager. Unplug the components connected to the steer manager one at a time. If you can get the 53 to go away by unpluging a component you know which part is bad. If no luck you likely need a steer manager. Try taking the filter card off as well. I have had one cause the steer manager to not talk, remove it and all is well.

hi Mauricio t
if you want a quick reply you should post your question on technical arena as more people will see it earlier anyway after viewing your question about code 53 I think that you should check the following that the battery is ok especially under load no voltage on the frame of the unit if these are ok then look carefully at the overhead mast control cables as this is the communication from the carriage manager to the tractor at the rear of the machine which also houses the steering and guidance if the cable looks funny like twisted or you can see the lines from the cables in the outer coating it is more than likely where the fault is as the cable is always being stretched and pulled over the cable pulleys if not the carriage manager can also be a problem I see by your post that you must have a service manual for this unit I hope this helps good luck
