Re Yale "Gold"....yeah that's their cute name for it, but it's just yellow. FWIW, yesterday my Glidden dealer took the sample part I gave him, used a quart of "sunburst yellow" enamel, did a color mix-match by hand (no computer) turned out great. Near perfect match and covers in one coat, 12 bucks, problem solved.
The Yale is actually "Yale Gold" and not yellow in addition, and even though Yale's and Hyster are the same machines Hyster is yellow and Yale is gold.
I can not say for the Yale but for Cat, this is for forklift, it will all depend on when and where the truck was produced. There are several different shades of yellow.
I think you will find that later Cats, ie early 90's onwards are painted in Cat new highway yellow, that's what order from my supplier anyway and it's spot on.
Interesting. The Glidden dealer had a can labeled "Old Cat" which was not even close....it was much more "mustard" color. Perhaps Tractor Supply has "New Cat" ??
Yeah I called the Yale dealer and in liquid all they can do is order a case of 4 gallons at about $80 per gallon !!
Tractor supply Cat Yellow Is spot on and sprays amazing from a gallon
Yale Yellow only comes in aerosol spray cans and gallons. Gallons cost about $78 from the dealer do not buy SMH/TVH brand yale paint its aweful. OEM Aerosol Hardly Match anything except brand new paint
I think you can find some on ebay or any forklift service can order aftermarket Yale paint.
And now I find out there are actually 4 different CAT yellows anyway.... click on CAT link at below URL to see
