Starter Problems - Technical Troubleshooting discussion in Forkliftaction's forums

Linde (& Baker) H20CT/600 391:
Starter Problems

We have several Linde H20CT/600 391, 4,000 lb. forklifts with VW/BEF engines. Can anyone out there tell me if they have similar vehicles and whether they have issues with starters and/or ring gears? Thanks

Common fault I am afraid, we have done lots of them, the main problem is the very narrow ring gear that they have, they are **** poor! I think there is a modification kit now available, maybe some of the Linde guys on here will know?
