Discussion:
small Yale forklift model #

I have a 3000# yale forklift and am trying to figure out how old it is and what the model # is. The data plate is so banged up I cant read it. All I can make out for the model # is 030, there is a T and a 77. The serial # line has 228730. Can anyone make any sence of any of that?

Call you local Yale dealer with the serial # and they can give you the model #. While you're at it, you should order a new capacity plate because one of OSHA's favorite things to go after are illegible spec/capacity plates.

Don't think this is enough info. The 030 means it is a basic 3000# lift capacity, the T can means a torque converter (powershift ) transmission or triple stage mast, the 77 means the mast has a 77" overal lowered height. The serial umber is not complete there needs to be a alpha character ( letter) which will provide the year of manufacture.
Check for a serial number that was stamped in the frame - start at a cross member on the front cowl (between the mast & front cowl. If not there keep looking. Maybe you can post a pic on this site to give some more clues or provide more info. Like is the truck enginr powered or electric? what is engine model? are tires pneumtic or press-on solids?
