Komatsu FD 150-7:
Slow in engaging Forward or Reverse

Hi everyone,

I have a Komatsu FD 150 -7 which is haveing some issue on the Foward & Reverse Transmission.

It takes quite a while (about 30 to 40 secs) to move after engaging the forward or reverse lever.

Can any kind soul enlighten me what might be the problem ?

Thanks in advance.

after checking the 'spools' on the control valve you may want to try servicing the transmission.
change the fluid and clean out the sump screen at the base of the housing where the return supply line hooks to.

if it has not been serviced in a while it could be clogged up not letting enough fluid through which would cause the delay in the clutch packs engaging.

this is a common occurance in all lifts that don't get the transmission serviced properly.

Maybe just check the control valve on top of the transmission to see if spills are sticking inside
