Stam, Firstly about the etruck technology especially battery technology has come along way in the last four years meaning this type of system is now coming into play. The big boys have blinkers on when comes to new technology and this is why companies like Apple, Airbnb, and others can come in and disrupts the working of an established Industry.

Second about Sany, what you will find with Sany is their equipment will improve over time like Toyota has done and wants it does it will become a major player in the big truck market. Sany will produce in Europe and North America giving better qualified staff to manufacture the trucks and better quality materials, meaning a better truck as the out come. In parts of Asia price is the important factor and Sany does well there. This is why Kalmar launched their essential range.

I could be wrong but over time i think Sany will improve their equipment in North America and Europe with local manufacturing and They will do well in Asia and South America from their China manufacturing base

Np triumphrider. Once I heard no oil I knew it had to be like the etruck.
I think your 100% correct on power consumption, I find it hard to believe the big guys would overlook this technology for the past 15 years. Leads me to believe battery tech isn't there yet and if so it's huge dollars with low lifespan.

Anyways I decided to check into sany some more. From the feedback I read on there excavators they are a low end unit that don't hold up like name brands. This is from operators directly "like an old komatsu" but sold as new. I was unable to find any info on there forklifts from end users.

Exalt what makes you think the forklift will be any different from there other equipment? Maybe your wrong?

The technology we use is not mine so i can't really comment on it as part of it is stil in a development stage.

But the principle is the same.

Sorry for being a bit challenging but like i have said its not my tech so i can't really go into to much detail

Stam, thank you for input. Sounds like a lot of current required to operate. Getting a straight answer from Exalt is a challenge.

My question was ,How does the lift system operate? Pretty simple question.

There's new technology here today that will allow for this. At the moment we will be able to do it. But with any industry competition will catch up and with in five years a forklift would be totally different from the ones today. We haven't developed this technology it's been developed by a leading global company, all we have done is adapted it for forklifts.

The new system doesn't need hydraulic oil pumps hoses or filters , so there will be plenty of companies looking to stop it. It can out perform any hydraulic system at the moment and will work fully on electric

When we talk about hydraulics, we mean lift, tilt and steering

Our trucks will have no hydraulics at all

When you say conventional hydraulics do you mean as in the drive system. does this unit have a ac powered drive system with a fuel cell , battery?

The two parts would be firstly the drive line this would cover wheel motors etc and would be 30,000 hours. The second part would mainly cover the power pack , fuel cell battery and would have a 25,000 hour warranty. We will not use conventional hydraulics but a totally new system again this would be covered as part of the power pack.

Chassis and ballast weight have no moving parts and will have a truck life time warranty. Meaning as long as the trucks in service

If you believe in your product and your suppliers you have the confidence to offer a warranty that reflects this.
