Ring gear

Tying to remove the ring gear for drive unit, but having trouble taking off the snap ring even when using ratcheting snap ring pliers. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Pliers won't do it. Use a snap ring clamp. They work beautifully.

I'm sure you have figured it out by now. I've had to do a few. i have the crown snap ring pliers for the TSP wheels that I use. I've narrowed the tips a little, and just get the right angle.
