I have a Toyota 5FG30 dual fuel truck with an Aisan LP regulator. If the truck sits for 3 to 4 hours it is extremely hard starting, however once it has been started it starts right up after that.
I know that the Aisin regulators were not the best. We used to replace them with adjustable Beam 60 regulators but they are now only availabe as non adjustable.
I have 2 questions, 1. -what is causing it to start hard and
2- can I change the regulator to another brand, like Impco, that would be compatible with the existing dual fuel carb?

Fact of the week
The two internal cavities in our nose called nostrils function as separate organs. Each nostril has its own set of turbinates and olfactory receptors. The two independent organs work together through a mechanism called the nasal cycle, where one nostril is dominant for air intake while the other rests and is better at detecting scents.
