On a diesel, if it won't accelerate it has to be a fuel problem as there is no ignition system. Check the fuel filter. If it's OK it's best to call the dealer. They have a plug-in analyzer that can check the injectors as well as the common rail pressure. Much cheaper than throwing parts at it.
