I have a Yale that has possibly a 2.0 or 2.2 VA engine.
I need to identify this engine before tearing it down..
If you have a idea how to identify I am all ears.
Here is what I have to go on.
It is a stick shift, mazda logo on engine 4 cyl. No overhead cam. In relation to my 1985 Yale that is a 5000 lb capacity it looks as big or bigger. It is a gasoline belt drive governor. The valves where messed with. I set them at.012 , points messed with, I have them close.(matchbook) timing cover very clean, I pulled it and timing gears are steal and the mark touches. Key way is good on cam and crank. The machine acts as if out of time, will run if valves are loose.030 or more. But poorly. Someone has messed with the unit and I cannot reset valve and timing because I cannot find any info on it. If you know these older models I would like to hear from you! I am in Yale **** here.. I also posted related article in Tech forum.
Thanks, Jon
