Hi all,
My first post so apologies on it being a problem. (dont know the model either)

Ive recently bought an old forklift that I feel may have some issues. This is the 1st forklift Ive ever used so not sure if it should act like this or its busted.

So essentially, its an old komatsu propane fuelled lift, with a Datsun Pu engine.
Symptoms are that when put into drive - reverse it VERY slowly starts going backwards (even at WOT) and slowly starts to accelerate - so in short accelerates very slowly in reverse.
Popping it into forward does the same but is much quicker to accelerate than in reverse.
Additionally it seems that there isnt much power to the wheels as when it gets slightly stuck it doesnt spin the wheels or hardly attempt to get out of any slight dip it is stuck in. Does that make sense? I wouldnt want to try but I feel if I tried to push/pull some thing it wouldnt have much power to the wheels before the transmission slipped.
You can see the pic here - http://www.thetropicalplantcompany.co.uk/newimages/IMG_7429.JPG
Its stuck there and has hardly any power to try and get out of the ditch.
any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Ben
