Yes practically it will be a done deal now. It won't be announced till later this year but it will be all done and over before the end of the summer

But this will lead now to more take overs quickly especially NACCO depending on both Toyota and KION who will get NACCO will change the market place for many years to come. Or this will be the opening up of the market as these two companies dominate allowing smaller more innovative companies to come along and change things. Not only in equipment on offer but also the technology used as well to offer better services and lowering cost's

KION in a way has set this with the New 6 - 8 ton electric truck from Linde is the same chassis and i bet many components from the Still electric and diesel truck in the same range. Toyota are re-branding BT here in Europe as they push this for the warehouse equipment here. They are also doing well with Raymand in North America and both manufactures have say in the lower cost machines , KION Baoli and Toyota in Tailift.

So in the in fight for domination between what is now seen as Toyota and KION who will suffer and who will gain will there be the obvious job cuts and factory closers as these two become more efficient will dealers lose out as one company favours one brand over another. Or will we just see to big brands go up against each other to keep on dominating the market.
