Hi Guys,

I have two maybe seemingly odd questions I wondered if the people here may be able to advise me on.

Essentially, we have a mezzanine floor, and are having a custom cage built for our Linde L16 stacker for getting items up and down the mezzanine.

The stacker is parked in a permanent place and does not move - it's job is purely as a lift device for the mezzanine floor......which brings me to the following questions;

1) The stacker is currently on battery.... This is a bit annoying as after some action, we need to charge the unit which is done by unplugging the unit from the battery - so renders the stacker useless while it charges. We are electricians here - but don't know the unit itself or the electrics/mechanics of how they work.....

So in short my question is whether it is possible to wire the charger straight into the truck so it runs permanently off the mains power fed via the charger? We would replace the connectors on the unit so if we did want to drive it we could plug the battery in - but for it's parked position, it would ideally be permanently plugged into the mains somehow.

2) Because of the purpose of the lift - assuming that we parked it in a single position, is there a way to have a remote for the up/down? It would seem that the system is hydraulic, and I've no idea how these work......but I am wondering if it is even possible? But ideally, we'd have a leaver/control point as it currently is on the unit - and one at the top of the mezzannine.

Hopefully that all makes sense?

These are questions of principle, and exploring possibilities. Of course, any work undertake will be done by or checked at least by someone suitable qualified and trained - but I wondered if it was in principle possible?

Cheers
Neil
