I have a Hyster H60XL automatic with lever shift (not monotrol) in which I need to replace the clutches. Is there a way to remove the transmission without pulling the engine or removing my drive axle?

There are two acces panels on the bellhousing where I can see a bracket attaching the torque converter to the fly wheel and I can get to each bolt by bumping the starter. It appears that once those are removed I can unbolt the bellhousing and if I could lift it all straight up that end would be free. I'm not sure how the output end of the transmission detaches from the drive axle however. Is there a way to release it so it can come straight up?

I just bought this lift. It has an Isuzu 4 cyl diesel that starts and runs perfectly. All the hydraulics work with no leaks. The only issue has been that it will not move forward. It runs and pulls very strong in reverse. I have a new set of clutches and gasket set ready to go in. I went ahead and went through the valve assembly- replacing all seals and O-rings, thoroughly flushed it and re-asembled it, beld it but it made no difference. Still no forward movement.

Any tips on removing the transmission without pulling the engine or drive axle? Or, any other suggestions that might get it moving forward?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
