it was a main bearing and im not sure how they pulled it off as they did this off-site (i do know that this did involve removing the whole mast assembly), unsure whether they plugged into it with a PDA or not. Yes, it is the local BT technicians. Altimeter cable is undamaged. C016 & C013 are the only codes that come up every now and then and apparently these were there before the bearing problem/repair. As for the bar at the bottom of the mast, did you mean the magnet switch thingy that catches the one on the end of the freelift pulley? if so it looks fine and the gap between the two is about 3/4inch, Im guessing that is what tells the brain that the mast is about to transition to the next stage?

just to be clear, the mast gets to 2.47m at full speed (almost max height of first stage) then the lift slows ready for transition between stages, transitions to second stage, then doesn't speed up again.

Regards,

Mitchell
