Are the revs only going part way up or just going to tick over? For how long it takes it'd be worth checking the ring gear, if there's a slightly damaged/worn tooth it can cause all kind of problems with the revs and it won't throw out a fault code all the time either.
I'm assuming the linde tech checked that the engine hasn't been speed restricted on the traction module?
