Would that be propane gas or gasoline?
Does your oil light work when you turn the key on and goes out when engine is running? Does the monitor display an overheat light when your turn the key on but go out when engine runs?
These trucks have a low oil pressure and high coolant temperature shut down system.
Low oil pressure or coolant overheat will cause the engine to shut down. But, a short in either of those wires, or a defective sender for either function can also cause a shut down.
Normally, if you have a shorted oil sender wire, or a shorted overheat sender wire, the applicable warning light will burn on the dash, but if one of the bulbs is burned out, it could be shutting down due to a short but if the bulb does not work (burned out), you will have no idea there is a problem.
I have seen cases where the wire to either sender breaks off and shorts to ground causing shut down, but a faulty bulb in the dash concealed clues about why. So make sure your warning lights work when the key is turned on.
Shut down temp sender is near where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. It is a single wire sender.
Does this truck have an O2 sensor in the exhaust pipe near the exhaust manifold? If it has an O2 sensor, the truck will not have a Revolution switch. The rev switches were on the earlier models (that lack an O2 sensor). On the later models with O2 sensor and TWC the ECM handles all the functions that the rec switch did on the early models.
