any shorts to frame? what is the resistance of the fields in the motor? is there any bad cabling to the motor? were the correct tm's installed? now may be the time to take the tm's for the left motor and swap them to the right, see if you get a code for the right motor instead.

broken lug on pcb, if its ohming out with a meter it doesn't always mean it can carry any current. if you say its ok im going to assume so as well.
