being that you did not mention it coding out or any alarms going off i think it would be safe to say that you have a issue on the drive unit area at the wiring harness. Check the harness where it connects the ebrake, could be a broken or shorted wire in harness and when its moving in that range of motion its causing the ebrake to engage.
