Old post but every bit as much true today. My experience having a pre-use card slot on the lift doesnt work as well as having a centralized card collection spot and a dedicated person to collect the cards and either process workorders for lift shop or red tag and call in outside help for repairs. Keytrollers have a nice feature of pre-use inspection before it allows the unit to start. Of course if a driver knows his answer will stop the lift from starting he may avoid the correct answer. We use the centralized version in a papermill, I collect the cards, email supervisors what cards werent received and then repair items on cards that day. so if OSHA checks they card matches the workorder date. How do you do it?
