The COAST/DEC setting in the menu will control the response of the motor speed to the control handle position. There is "HARD" to "SOFT" settings and "OFF". "HARD" will give a snappy throttle with fast acceleration and deceleration, "SOFT" gives slower smoother response. With "OFF" there is no deceleration, the truck coasts to a slower speed rather than power deceleration and "RAMP HOLD" is inactive. The system will give a warning at truck start up if COAST/DEC is OFF.

If COAST/DEC is not OFF the truck will begin to plug to the lower speed. Plugging will be more severe if the joystick is moved to the opposite direction. The control system always tries to set the speed to the handle position, so if you move the handle to a different speed, the system sets the motor power to that speed.

Fact of the week
In Germany, the 9th of November is sometimes called Schicksalstag, the "Day of Fate" because it has been the day for several major historical events, including the horrors of Kristallnacht in 1938 and the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
