hi 7777
why would it matter? well for starters they suggest using only NGK in their service bulletin on this problem
its kind of like using 3rd party plugs in any engine
in ford you should use motorcraft
GM uses AC brand

all OEM mfg's have certain brand plugs designed for thier spec's and the engine is setup to use those type plugs. Not all plugs are created equal even though they may work, some will not work as well.
Not to mention as sensitive as these computer systems are on these trucks it is advisable to use OEM parts unless you have no other choice.
Their plugs have a specific resistance they use i am guessing, so... if you use any other brand, they may work but you may still have issues.
