The first wheels carved out of stone in days before history began begets the same basic concept as the wheels on our glorious space shuttle - correct? Is it not also correct that the folks who designed the wheels on the space shuttle spent money, time, and effort developing them so that they will conform somewhat better than the original stone wheels for the intended application?
