Davelift, you say" truth is there is no crisis" at Nissan's UK liftruck business and only the "ones put on here" whatever that means?

I am not sure any of us are aware of the facts that are current.

Well I have some interesting and super collegues and contacts in our great industry chap but I have one with quite an interesting and rumoured account of a strange situation he was informed about with a foreign owned average sized dealer up North that ended up supplying the brand

I'll point out a few bits of what I guess may have occured - this GB Business Unit of NFE actually made a decision in 2007 to look at a dealer of another excellent Japanese liftruck supplier (I think once this had being ended) and in my friends' opinion through individuals making the strategic decisions sacked a group of very loyal, proper and successful dealers after Christmas from down here in the South, across in Essex, up in Yorkshire and the Eastern England areas and managed to persuade this 'new darling of Nissan' to actually buy one of their soon to depart dealers in the East Mids. Jackpot! Wonder what the commission was on that Nissan deal!

This new dealer which had I'm told had achieved over 500 new orange units p.a was targeted with a few more and had to take stock units also, what a potential jackpot if you happened to be landing this. Oh dear what a cruel World!

We have not seen much going on down here but we have all seen that the 'active' dealer has moved on to yet another brand with not a tear shed and a UK task probabbly bigger than the Coalition's! and our 'experts' in Nissan Forklift GB duly retired and are still sat worrying about the 'CRISIS'you mention that they were supposed to have left... I think not!!

Well we then saw a major strategic reorganisation and duly re appointed the fabulously loyal dealers back, launched a new range of IC units that are ultra reliable and everyone is happy, dealers, customers and even ex chiefs alike! mmmm! NO I'm not so sure. Will this lead to the Direct route to market we'll have to wait and see!!
