I have a question about CAN wiring. First the symptom. Machine powers up normal, and faults when travel is initiated. The electric brake releases and drops out with a "Traction Comm" Fault. No fault stored in the Curtis traction controller.
Instructions say, CAN wiring or fuse. All other functions are good. (Lift/Lower and steering) Continuity tests on CAN wires through the mast from the system controller to the traction controller check good.
Question: Can the CAN wires be subbed out with just regular wires without shielding to test the machine? The replacement harness is rather spendy for a test.
