Hello all. I have a client that lost all control operation on a Jungheinrich ES4000.
The operator said he went over a small piece of pallet wood and then the unit shut down with code "FAULT 71 F. B OUT OF RANGE"
I called a friend at the dealer that sold it to them and he is in technical training dept. He said it has to do with the lowering potentiometer or a broken wire to it.
I removed the joystick assembly and checked for broken wires but found none.
Since they have an identical unit I tested this joystick on the other unit and it does not code out and operates fine. The last thing on the TS page he sent that doesn't directly deal with the joystick assembly says to replace the interface. I have never had an interface card out or apart on one of these units and I am wondering if there are socketed IC chips in there that can come loose like we found on the CAT NOR series when I worked for them.
Thank you.
