Just installed new torque converter seal @ input... old seal was worn but still had a bit of an edge on the lip. I was a bit leary when I saw that, also pump drive surface was clean, no burs or scratches... start and run: after about 2 minutes from cold first start it begins leaking fluid from drain hole.
When I had it disassembled I looked for evidence of fluid track of other potential leak other than the seal. None noticable, everything was wet and dirt buildup was uniform around the seal area.
My main experience is with truck/trailers etc. A small amount of forklift experience.
Trans model is g5t5... I am wondering if there is an internal sealing issue allowing pressure to force by the seal...
Any help from someone experienced with this issue is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
