Order a repair kit for the gas regulator I'm guessing it will be an impco J type on this truck, they have a strip valve that is prone to failing due to pressure forming it onto the valve face and splitting the seal. The mixer/card will be an improvement ca50 these are also prone to failure with the bodies wearing out and not provide vacuume to allow the regulator to open
