Hi we have this 1998 Boss KE which is equivalent to the EFG, its a 4 wheeler using the MP1514 controllers on the back and multipilot.

We have this error 24 steering that we cannot get rid of, truck works and steer works however no hydraulics ( even though yesterday with the 24 error everything did work )

We tested the 3 MP1514 controllers on a test truck and all work ok.
We tried another display and another multipilot lever assembly.
We tried another interface 4 card.

We checked canbus resistance and found the 120 ohm resistor missing from the back of the display, at some point someone has changed the canbus loom. So we added a resistor and now get about 64 ohms with everything connected as we should.

We checked all canbus wires from the display through to the interface 4 card to the lift controller then through each traction controller back to the multipilot and from multipilot back to the diagnostic plug in DB9 connector.

We even decided to change the controllers around again, but no matter what, we always get this error 24 steering, and with judit plugged in states error 124 steering.

No matter what we do just cannot get rid of the 24 steering error. Battery is all good and charged and there are no earth faults. If anyone can shed some light this would really be helpful and appreciated greatly.

Regards

We tried resetting parameters to default value etc.#

Fact of the week
The black box flight recorder was invented by Australian scientist David Warren in the mid-1950s. While initially met with indifference in Australia, his invention gained international recognition, particularly in the UK, and is now a mandatory piece of safety equipment on all commercial aircraft.
