Hi everyone, I've been looking at this great forum for sometime and now i have an issue which i need help with, i have a 2004 Daweoo G25E-3 with a Mitsubishi G424E engine, S/N: G9-00159 LP ( Propane), when i first looked at this machine the engine would crank but would not run, and i was told even when the engine was running fine that sometimes the machine will not move forward or reverse when it's cold until it's warmed up, and other times it drives normally even when cold, i started diagnosing the engine first, there was no spark coming out of the coil pack, the previous owners said they did replace the coil and did some service recently so i thought let me try to check for error codes, i don't have a proper scanner so i induced the codes using the acc. pedal, and there were a bunch : 26, 36, 16, 92,62,81 i cleared these codes also using the pedal, the machine starts instantly and the engines runs very smoothly, i shut it off and started it like a 100 times it starts fine but there's no pedal whatsoever, i checked for error codes again and found only 3 codes: 26, 62, 92, i cleared them many times and the 3 codes will always show up and still no pedal, i do have a miniature repair manual and it shows these 3 codes are pedal position sensor related, so i removed the floor plate to take a look at the pedal sensor, the engine harness connector and the sensor connector were both cut off and someone had used the cheapest type of male-female connectors in the market to connect the 6 wires on each side, i thought let me blow the dirt off of them so i can see what colors are the wires on both sides, but one wire instantly came off the connector, so i crimp on a new connector and connect it back, i tried to clear the codes again but as soon as i turned the ignition on instantly i had codes flashing more than the very beginning, i tried to clear them but the pedal does not respond at all to the code clearing period.
The current codes after i blew the dirt off the harness and repaired that one wire are: 61, 67, 24, 22, 27, 69, 26, 28, 38, 48, 62 some of the new codes are not even in the little manual that i got, as of now the engine still runs smoothly but there's no throttle whatsoever, and i still have to figure out the transmission issue later.
Is there a way to test the Pedal position sensor functionality before i replace it ? the local dealer wants $900 bucks for it and the cheapest after market replacement costs $400 dollars, i don't mind at all to buy it if this was in deed the root cause of the issue, but iam not sure because now i can't communicate with the ecu anymore and i don't have a proper scanner.
