Hello,
in the middle of 2016 I've changed the customers faulty "old type" traction motors with "new type NEO" motors because the WAVE had bad steering and braking. Actually I did this on a lot of WAVE's cause it's a common issue.

Two months ago the same issue with the new NEO motors appeared. Did the testing and the right motor rotor had bad windings. We rewind the rotor and overhaul it completely. Put it back on the WAVE this time on the left side.

After of moth of working the other motor, now on the right side goes bad also.
Now I have two new motors going bad in maybe 40 hours of work.

Checked the motor wiring to control unit - OK. Check the control unit power supply - OK. Check the output power supply via Curtis handset - OK.

If you have any info regarding problems with NEO motors please share.
If you would like to start a tought process and comment I'll be happy to reply.

Thanks!

Fact of the week
The black box flight recorder was invented by Australian scientist David Warren in the mid-1950s. While initially met with indifference in Australia, his invention gained international recognition, particularly in the UK, and is now a mandatory piece of safety equipment on all commercial aircraft.
