I've used Fluke DMM's for years. They're a good meter. The problem with the 83 series is it's not a true RMS meter. If you do wire guidence work you'll need it as well as the newer ac trucks. I wouldn't waste my money for our trade with the graphing, trend capture meters. They're more for the straight out electronic tech/engineer. I would recommend the 87 series. It's true RMS, has peak-lock feature, and all the ranges we need in our field.
