I have been doing this for 25 plus years, I have never seen so many GM 4.3 Starters / Ring gear replacements. We have used Chevy S-10 Pickups with 4.3 motors as our delivery fleet, these trucks go 200,000 miles without a starter, and we start them 30-40 times per day. Mostly Hyster H90, and H110 trucks with GM 4.3 motors come to the shop several times for starter/ring gear. We have some pretty darn good guys at our shop, and it always baffles everybody. We use factory starters/Ring gears, we intall the upgraded brackets, correct bolts, check the shimming with guaged wire, they all fail premature. Cannot figure it out for the life of me. We have seen some trucks come back every year, to pull the motor again. Frustrating.

At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
