Removal Of LPS Rated-Mak-Saf Switch Issue's

We want to remove the Rochester Mak-Saf switch located under the floorboard on the left side below the fuse block. The problem now is it causes a large current draw on the battery when the forklift is not running. It runs & charges fine other then that.
We are wondering if there is a relay of some sort we need now ?

When I used to work at a forklift paint company ( http://www.industrialtouchup.com ), we tried to remove a mak-saf but ran into the same problem. Our mechanic didn't know what to do, so we just tabled it and are still waiting for a solution.

Fact of the week
Brothers Adolf ("Adi") and Rudolf ("Rudi") Dassler split their shoe company after WWII due to a bitter feud, and established the rival companies of Adidas and Puma. Their personal animosity and business rivalry divided their German hometown Herzogenaurach. The town became known as "the town of bent necks" due to the intense loyalty to each brand.
