Rich_K's remark (there arenot many good points) reminds me of my usual reply to the question of "in your opinion what's the best lift truck?"
I always say; in 35 years, I never once had some end user call me up and say, "Come on over I have a really good truck to look at" so; a really good forklift is one _I_ have never seen. Every time I get a call it is along the lines of, "We have a problem we want to share with you".
In my not so humble opinion, service techs should not claim to know what is really good, just what is it that goes bad.

"it's not rocket surgery"
If you want the best Raymond reach truck, go for the EZ reach EZ-C model or EZ-D model. One is ac drive -ac lift and the other is ac drive-dc lift. Standard mast as opposed to the 7400 see-thru, much easier to maintain and just as reliable if not more so than the 7400. The 7400 has some cool options, (programmable steering change-loop back tests-etc. ) but I believe you will be happier with the pre-7400 units. Factory still offers them as a new truck unit.

The mast hosing replacement is probably the worst over the mast job you could imagine. The loop back current tests thru the display from the VM to the carriage is a big plus. The outriggers are pretty cool, no more welding when they crash, the unbolt from the battery compartment.
