thank you for the information its exactly what i needed
i had a feeling that they could be controled by a pot. the motor is constant and the lift/lower lever is a pot' controled switched model
many thanks again
to clarify, this will only work if the motor speed is constant and you want only to vary the hyd oil flow. if you want to vary motor speed you will have to use a controller (or start a fire with some very large resistors)
older JLG manlifts used a direct proportional system using bertea valves. might check there. many can be controlled by varying input voltage with a standard potentiometer.
look into some of the larger xl series hysters, they used a proportioning valve to control hydraulic flow between steering and hydraulics.
thanks for the help but does anybody know how they can be controled without a control systen ie pcb or whatever
as i need to get one to operate on a lift that has no hydraulics at present
Vickers do a KDG4-3 you could try a search on that!Nick
if your looking for what i think you are....... you may want to check into the sizzorlift industry though, genie, skyjack, jlg etc. They are commonly used on those machines.
Hi keith;
Are you referring to pressure controlled, volumn controlled, or directional controlled proportion valves?
