Discussion:
PM Freq. and cost

How often should these lifts be serviced with the six cylinder cummins? And how much does it typically cost? Is there more than one PM level?

well chris
every mfg has thier own maintenance checks and methods they use
such as like cat
thier maintenance for thier model DP150 for instance
they have several intervals for different things to be done like
* Daily Prestart inspecton
*Every 50hrs or weekly
*Every 200hrs or monthly
*Every 1200hrs or 6months
*Every 2400hrs or yearly
and each one of those covers specific items to check or service. The daily one is just normal things such as fluid levels and visual inspections etc, as the schedule increases to longer hour intervals the list gets alot more extensive on what to service or check.
If you check across all the mfg's you'll see the same pattern as above but some differences. But generally a normal oil and filter change ,chassis lube and operation check happens about on the 200hr or monthly scale.

Thanks! Is there two PM guides. For instance an A PM and B PM where certian filters are required to be changed? For instance Moffett does this with Diesel piggyback.

i'd check around on the parts pricing, i'm sure you can get a better deal than that
but the time frames mentioned between servicing is correct
I usually try and stick to the 250hr interval under normal use conditions. If its in a hostile environment (dusty yard) then you'll have to play it by ear and estimate the intervals depending on the condition of the oil and filters after changing them out the first time. It may require more frequent servicing under extreme conditions ;o)

Hi, Cummins says to service motor every 250 hrs. and depending on how the machine is used and condition Taylor would be around 500 hrs. The cost for parts and oils depending on where you purchased them should be about $1000.00 for complete service.

The black box flight recorder was invented by Australian scientist David Warren in the mid-1950s. While initially met with indifference in Australia, his invention gained international recognition, particularly in the UK, and is now a mandatory piece of safety equipment on all commercial aircraft.
