Pinion nut torque setting.

why the teeth of worm gear is broken, what cause the demage ? thank for advice

diff bearing caps 175 Nm (129 lb ft)
pinion nut 750 Nm ( 553 lb ft)

only info on back lash setting is to paint grease on the crown wheel ,rotate pinion and make sure it cleans the middle part of the teeth on the crown wheel.
