Discussion:
oil change sticker

any techs who work for Crown USA, what are you using for stickers when changing drive unit oil, hydraulic filters etc
I've looked through one source and nothing there, Our branch was getting some made, but at 25cents each they wont order anymore. automotive stickers are in miles not hours, looking for something i can order through the system or online if need be

Hey, when I was a Crown service tech. we just wrote the hour meter reading on the filters with a sharpie and only changed drive unit oil once a year. Some of us also did like Joe D. above we used a packing slip holder and put it inside the powerunit door to keep our notes in. Been at this for 28 years now and once in a wile I run into one of my notes from the early 80's.

I didn't do it, nobody saw me and You can't prove a thing...
Why not use a printed service record in a plastic bag stored inside the motor compartment? Every lift we have has one in it to record anything that's been done to the lift with a space for date, hour meter reading and who did the work.
