BB, took your directive and started the assessment of: lack of fuel / to much air. Taking the path of least resistance, since my knowledge of the gas converter is limited. Purchased 3 meters of vacuum line and started replacing each run then trying to start after each replacement. Sure enough there was one bad piece of hose, issue resolved.
On the light front, narrowed down the associated fuse to the "Brake". Will look to the schematics and see what lies
within that run. If the brake is brake pedal or parking brake possibly and back to a relay, maybe a switch a the pedal.
Thanks JP
I would double check the regulator, sounds like it's set to lean.
Check the switch & relay for the lights, that's where I'd start
1. Pull the black cover off the top of the carb, 2 - 10mm bolts
and will cover the intake completely and spin a few times, sometimes that will work and we take off, either way I am restricting the air. OR hold the butterfly closed, do it from the side, limited success at best. Can smell Propane in any event and no matter what I end up overworking the starter.
Checked all the vacuum lines running about, no cracks and all seems ok, Rubber looks good still pliable.
The throttle is by wire cable, so mechanical.
The connector is located by the battery itself, it is a 2 pin connector
that when unplugged un-powers everything, so the running light are out. Wiring is red and green on the battery side and red & white on the truck side. Standard plastic modular squeeze lock type, white.
Thanks JP
OK- couple things- what do you mean "messing with the choke"?
Also- sounds like wiring issue with lights. Does your truck have drive by wire or a throttle cable? What power main connector are you disconnecting to get the lights to go out?
My lift is hard starting and once running we are 100%.
If I remove the air assembly from the top of the carb and mess with the chock in most cases I can get it started. Using LP as fuel.
Purchased the manual online for 10.00 and it appears to be specs only
no trouble shooting, hmmm.
Also my running lights are now always on and have to unplug the
main power connector to get them off, key on / off makes no difference. Assumed that is an error code of sorts, but to date cannot verify?
Any ideas? JP
Assan Got it to start at full throttle and run good at all speeds but will not start in morning unless you hold at full throttle or choke it then it starts and runs all day
