What are the SCRs?

Please help, I have a R40TT, I cannot afford another lift, and cannot afford this thing to be down much longer.

getting a number 2 on control board

I can lift and go fwd/rev when pedal depressed.

Steering is only accomplished if I manually hold the contactor closed...

fuse on side blows if I use the button on fwd/rev stick for more than a couple of seconds... Just tried it again to see which one, this time a 313 diode module popped and smoked (DA-2)
The button still worked afterward to lower... this does not happen when raising...
Also, sometimes the button does not work to lower at all

How does that relate to the steering pump not activating? What can I check to narrow this down...

Back story: A guy who works for a mechanic next door that is an acquaintance that owed me a couple favors, without my consent thought he was helping as I had been complaining about not being able to use my reach and tilt without a mess as my hose was messed up. He decided to change it for me... In the process he twisted the solid tube it attaches to, did not configure the hoses right with the springs and messed up the electrical Im guessing somehow... The lift was fine... It was maintained well by Disney before I purchased it from them. I really like it, I look forward to understanding more of how it works. Especially these diode modules, what are their purpose? Anyway, back to the back story,When I first went to use it after he put it back together the wires on the solenoid on top of the forks melted the rubber coating off the first few inches... I found the wires to the lights by the steering wheel not attached to that cover. I have just tapes them off as I do not know what their configuration is, but I thought that may be what caused that, not sure now...

Also, what are the ratings of the two fuses in the side suppose to be?

Thank you very much
