Discussion:
Need help with engine, carb

Hello,

I am repairing a Toyota forklift for a friend who runs a rehabilitation center. It was given to him, but it needs some repairs, which I am capable of, but I am having a hard time locating parts for this 5r engine.

I need to take the valve cover off to clean out any dust that has accumulated inside. I need a valve cover gasket for this engine, but no car parts stores can find the engine.

The carburetor is an AISIN ISO 9I25 carburetor, single barrel. Can anyone tell me what float height this carb is supposed to be at? Or, a rebuild kit?

Can anyone tell me where I can get an oil filter for this engine?

A Toyota forklift dealer can get that stuff for you.

The use of "hello" as a telephone greeting is attributed to Thomas Edison. He is said to have suggested it as a simpler alternative to other greetings, such as "Do I get you?" or "Are you there?".
