What voltage do you have on wire #29 going to the control card? It should read about 4 to 5 VDC and slowly go to 0 VDC when the accelerator is depressed.

negative comes through the recs or controllers (the chopper panel), the wire from the pot to the controller may be the problem

when A1 pushed in maunally, it drives.
since A1 is negative, it seems to me the drive motor is missing a negative, what would cause this.

Sounds like either a faulty accelerator pot circuit,or a faulty SCR control card.
