Discussion:
Monotrol Pedal

We have a Hyster 80 circa 1985. Was running, but the monotrol foot pedal was leaking fluid badly, so we parked it. Would only go in reverse after being unused for a month or two. Now it will not fire up at all. Just rebuilt transmission, with assumption that the transmission was the issue. The forklift is still not powering. Any tips?

Need more info- gas,lp or diesel? How did engine run before trans job? What actually do you mean "not firing up"? I assume you mean it won't start, but cranks when the key is turned to the "start" position.
