does anyone have any information on the Mitrex explosion proofing system with gas detection. after market EX rating. what is the international equivalant of UL (under writers laboratory)

I am sure this is one of very few Mitrex users in the US. Me personally I have never run into one, and I have been active in this market for over a decade. Alternatives international suppliers, who offer similar Active EX protection systems and who actually are based in the US are available if you need them. I hope things work out for you.

you are correct about mitrex but i have a customer with some euro spec units converted by them. i contacted mitrex and they have responded and are actively helping. i think they deserve some recognition for that. thanks.

I do not think that Mitrex is actively selling their products in the US, and if they are I doubt that their products will be NRTL approved.
