Discussion:
mast lowers too slow

Hello everybody i hope someone can help. We have a 8fgcu25 serial 15051. The mast lifts normal speed but seems to be lowering too slow when you lower it. it has a FSV mast. Nothing looks like its binding, Im wondering if there is some sort of adjustment in the hydraulics that can be changed? Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks In advance.

You probably already figured it out but in the lower spool there is a flow regulator valve with a spring. The spring had an issue with breaking into two pieces. Toyota made a kit for it. Hope it helps. It is easier to take the valve Out of the lift I have found.
