Thank you for reply
Dennis
Thank you so much for taking time to reply.
Since I posted message my brother took starter off and noticed someone had installed a starter with an adapter with different mounting holes and ground part of the ears off the starter to allow the fit. Probably in attempt to save money on original. Will check on rebuild Monday.
Thanks again
Dennis
They made them in the mid '70s. Anyone that repairs forklifts can get you parts. The starter is Yale # 5147334-00, Presolite #MDT7025 but you may want to just take yours to a starter repair place and get it fixed because a new one is expensive.
well i can tell you that lift predates 1989, that was the year i first started working for yale in the carolinas.(worked for them for almost 18yrs)
You could try calling the yale dealership and they could fix you up as far as ordering parts? maybe even get you a manual from the factory...
BUT this is a huge MAYBE...
This lift is older than methuzal so i wouldnt bank on it ;o)
