Discussion:
Manual

I just found this forum and am happy it exists. I have a C500-25 forklift that runs ok and does what I need. I use it ocassionally. The forklift mechanic has moved away so I paid a small fortune for the Clark Service Manual OH 367 C500 20/30. I've read through it a few times. It seems I can't find in the manual the identification of basic parts. Where is the hydraulic filler tube, the engine oil filler tube, the transmission filler tube? I can guess at them but wanted to be sure. Is there a better manual to have?

You need a parts manual to look up parts. The hydraulic filter is inside the tank. Follow the suction hose from the pump and you will see the cover on the tank. The Engine oil filter should be visible on the side of the engine. I believe the trans filter is a simple screen on the bottom of the trans.

In 1898, author Morgan Robertson wrote a novel called 'Futility', which described an "unsinkable" ship named the Titan that sank after hitting an iceberg. Fourteen years later, the Titanic sank in a strikingly similar fashion.
